Matjaž Stopinšek

Matjaž Stopinšek est membre de l'ensemble de solistes du Musiktheater de Linz en Autriche, où il interprète des opéras et des opérettes. En 2022, il a reçu la médaille Richard Tauber pour ses interprétations de Jason dans Médée de Cherubini et de Sou Chong dans Le Pays du sourire de Léhar. En plus d'être l'un des principaux ténors d'opérette en Autriche, Matjaž est également connu pour ses rôles dans le répertoire des opéras allemands et français, ayant interprété des rôles comme Don José dans Carmen de Bizet, Werther dans Werther de Massenet, Faust dans Faust de Gounod et La damnation de Faust de Berlioz, David dans Les Maîtres chanteurs de Nuremberg de Wagner et Tamino dans La Flûte enchantée de Mozart, entre autres. Au cours de la saison 2023-2024, il interprétera les rôles d'Eleasar dans La Juive d'Halévy et d'Eisenstein dans La Chauve-Souris de Strauss.

Matjaž Stopinšek is a member of the soloist ensemble at the Landestheater Linz Musiktheater in Austria where he performs both opera and operetta. In 2022, he was awarded The Richard Tauber medal for his performances as Jason in Cherubini's Médée and Sou Chong in Land of Smiles by Léhar. In addition to being one of the leading operetta tenors in Austria, Matjaž is also known for his roles in the German and French opera repertoire, having sung roles like Don José in Bizet's Carmen, Werther in Massenet's Werther, Faust in both Gounod's Faust and Berlioz's Le damnation de Faust, David in Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Tamino in Mozart's Magic Flute, among others. In the 2023/24 season, he will sing the roles of Eleasar in La Juive by Halévy and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus by Strauss.
