 | Patricia Nessy, whose parents were both opera singers, developed her talent and love of music from an early age, first studying singing with her father and later graduating with distinction from Vienna's Conservatory of Music. In 1993 she won Germany's national singing competition and in 1997 was awarded the Berlin Artist Prize for her performance in The Pirates of Penzance. Ms. Nessy has performed extensively both in Europe and North America. Her wide repertoire includes leading roles in several operettas and musicals from The Merry Widow to Funny Girl, The Magic Flute to Cabaret. She performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London in A Night of 1000 Voices and at Carnegie Hall in New York with Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops. Her love for Viennese Operetta is highlighted as artistic director of the Wiener Operettensommer and regular performer for Salute to Vienna throughout North America. |
